Homemade Creamer

Great for coffee, tea & Teecino, and Cafix

Photograph of Homemade Creamer

I love a good coffee or matcha latté, but I don’t consume dairy products. Most of the store-bought creamers I’ve found contain oil and other unrecognizable ingredients, so I decided to take the matter into my own hands! This recipe is super easy and very satisfying in coffee, tea, Teecino, Cafix and you can even use it in iced drinks.

Ingredients

3/4 cup raw cashews or cashew pieces
1 1/4 water or unsweetened plant milk (I like almond and oat)
1 tsp alcohol-free vanilla (I like Trader Joe’s) or 1/2 tsp vanilla powder
1 tsp sweetener – I use granulated monk fruit sweetener, but you could also use a pitted medjool dates, date syrup, maple syrup or stevia

Instructions

Blend everything until smooth. Store in a sealed container (I have a recycled glass bottle with a plastic lid). Will keep in the refrigerator for one week.

If you don’t have a nutri/magic bullet, Ninja or other high speed blender, then soak your cashews in boiling water for 15 minutes and drain, then blend with the other ingredients until smooth.

If the mixture gets too thick, just add a little water or plant milk to thin it out.
